Amish Cinnamon Bread
Ingredients
Starter Schedule
- Day 1 (receive starter) no refrigerate
- Day 2, 3, 4 (stir)
- Day 5 (add 1 cup milk/flour/sugar then mix well)
- Day 6, 7 (stir)
- Day 8, 9 (Do Nothing)
- Day 10 (put in mixing bowl + add 1 cup sugar/milk/flour)
Stir well. Put 1/3 cup dough in 3 small containers (give 2 away)
(1 to start over)
Add
- ½ cup oil
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 pkg vanilla pudding (instant)
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup white sugar
Cinnamon Sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ cup brown sugar
Instructions
Mix well. In separate bowl mix 2 tsp cinnamon and ¼ cup brown sugar. Grease 2 loaf pans. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. ¼ amount of batter in each pan sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar. Cover with rest of batter and rest cinnamon/sugar. Stir to marble. Bake 1 hour.
