Butter Tarts

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Butter
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Eggs Beaten slightly
  • 2 Tsp Vanilla
  • ½ Tsp Nutmeg
  • ½ Tsp. Salt
  • 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 Cup Corn Syrup
  • 1 Cup Raisins OR Currants
  • 1 Cup Crushed Walnuts
  • OR Crushed Pecans

Instructions

Melt Butter, add Sugar, salt, & Corn syrup, slightly beaten eggs, mix until frothy then add remaining ingredients.

Spoon mixture into unbaked tart shells, fill ½ full.

Bake @ 400F for 8-10 min. Then bake @ 375F for 5 more min or until golden brown.
