Earl's Blackened Chicken
Ingredients
- 2 Skinless Boneless Chicken Breast Halves
- ½ Tsp. Paprika
- ⅛ Tsp. Salt
- ¼ Tsp. Cayenne Pepper
- ¼ Tsp. Dried Thyme
- ⅛ Tsp. Ground White Pepper
- ⅛ Tsp. Onion Powder
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a baking sheet.
Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat for 5 minutes, until it is smoking hot.
Mix all dry ingredients. Oil the chicken with cooking spray on both sides, then coat with spice mixture.
Place chicken in hot pan and cook 1 minute. Turn and cook 1 minute on the other side. Place breasts on prepared baking sheet.
Bake in preheated oven until no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, about 5 minutes.
